I am an artist, and I am undertaking a painting of a Wellington Bomber which crashed in 1942 in Chipping Norton Oxfordshire, the painting is for the British Legion in Chipping Norton to hold in memory of the lost crew. The aircraft came from 15 OTU at Harwell and was on a training flight when it hit a smaller aircraft over Chipping Norton leading to the loss of both aircraft and crews.
I am trying to ensure detail is as accurate as possible and I have the aircraft serial number T2557 (or T2257) and the side marking after the roundell is EU or possibly EO. I would like any other information on the side markings particularly the letter before the roundell if possible, also any configuration of side windows there seems to be a lot of variation, according to the role of the aircraft...

Many thanks in advance for any replies or information, in the meantime I will continue my research
regards
Janet Wilkinson
